In securing five outstanding yearlings at this year’s NZB Standardbred Yearling Sales, we have taken our involvement with young horses to the next level.
First up in Auckland, we secured Lot 38 being the Bettor’s Delight x We Love To Party colt. From the dam of nine winners from nine foals to race and the full brother of the winners of 25 races, this offering from Woodlands Stud was always in our sights. I rated him in my top five of the sale with great scope and heart rate. He’s a lovely individual with a great walk and temperament.

At the Auckland sales we also purchased Lot 76, the Sweet Lou x Dream Offer colt, another from the Woodlands draft. He’s a stunning type with a very good pedigree. He had the best heart rate of all the horses we tested in the Auckland sale and I’m confident he'll make a great racing proposition.

So on to Christchurch. Our first purchase there was Lot 242, the Art Major x The Fascinator filly that we see as a valuable future broodmare. I expect we’ll have a lot of fun along the way. This filly's pedigree is so strong through her dam’s 10 wins and 19 placings from 42 starts.

I personally took particular pleasure in securing Lot 258, the Art Major x Uptown Attitude colt offered by Dancingonmoonlight. I’ve followed this colt's journey from a weanling to the sales ring and we just couldn’t let him go anywhere else. He’s a standout in every sense of the word.

And finally, a purchase made for existing clients: Lot 325, the colt by Art Major from the proven racehorse and broodmare Dakota Grace. He’s a striking colt with a speedy pedigree, and like all our purchases we really look forward to sharing in his journey.

We couldn't be happier with the individuals and the pedigrees we have been able to secure, and we look forward to matching them with their new owners. They’ll be getting all the care and attention they need as they mature into racehorses over the next year or so.
Some shares are still available in Lots 38, 76 and 258. We'd love to have you on board at Ripple Creek. For more information contact Trent on 027 635 0414 or trent.yesberg@hotmail.co.nz
