It’s been a relatively quiet few weeks for the team on the race track. That all changes with our biggest team ever heading to Addington on Sunday 13 June. Five Ripple Creek horses will take their places and we have reason to be pleased with all of them.
Taliesin and Twilight Bromac line up in Race 2 the Woodlands Stud Mobile Pace. We couldn’t be happier with Taliesin after his first start for the stable a fortnight ago. He’s training well and eating up, and should be hard to beat if all goes well from the second row draw. Tim Williams drives.
Twilight Bromac had no luck first up for us. We’re still making a few adjustments with him and expecting improvement. He may still be a run or two away but is a really nice horse going forward. He’ll be driven by Matthew Williamson.
We also have two starters in Race 5 on Sunday, the Paul Renwick Joinery Fillies & Mares Mobile. Rocknroll Diva just did not handle the slushy track two weeks ago. She’s a low-gaited type of horse and it didn’t surprise that she struggled in the conditions. Hoping for a dry track, in which case we expect a much better showing with the right run and Matty in the sulky.
Itz The Con Artist will be having her first start for us after some trials that may have looked average to the observer. We’re actually really happy with her, after working on her confidence and changing her gear around a bit. A forward running would not surprise but she’ll improve regardless. To be driven by Tim Willliams.
Reiniminpatron draws the ace in Race 8 the Mid-Winter At Addington Mobile Pace. His form line is not the best and he has frustrated us somewhat recently. We’ve done a lot of work on him and hoping he can repay us on Sunday. He certainly has the ability. Matty Williamson stays with the ship.
Good luck to everyone this week.
